Dean Jocović opened ICMO 2026 - a conference that brought together participants from more than 45 countries

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Mijat Jocović, opened the Eighth International Conference on Management and Organization - ICMO 2026 International Conference on Management and Organization, which will be held from 3 to 6 June at the Maestral Hotel in Pržno. Addressing the conference participants, Dean Jocović thanked the Academy of Management for the support it provides to faculties across the Balkans through building a network of prominent researchers and strengthening academic cooperation, as well as the Montenegrin Academy of Management.

He emphasized that the cooperation with the Academy over the past three years has been very dynamic and meaningful, and that it has resulted in a number of joint activities, including the organization of workshops, lectures and research projects.

Welcoming participants from all over the world, Dean Jocović expressed his pleasure that the conference is being held in Montenegro, emphasizing that many guests are staying in our country for the first time.

ICMO 2026 is being held under the theme ICMO 2026 International Conference on Management and Organization Sustainability by Design: Rethinking Strategy, People & Digital Futures, and is focused on contemporary challenges in the field of sustainability, strategy, leadership, human resource management and digital transformation of organizations.

Assistant Professor Dr. Ivan Radević from the Faculty of Economics, who is also the President of the Montenegrin Academy of Management, emphasized that this conference is not only an international scientific event, but also a bridge of friendship, trust and cooperation on a global scale. "As many as 65 percent of the participants are visiting Montenegro for the first time and I hope that they will all return again," said Radević.

The conference brings together more than 300 participants from over 45 countries, as well as more than 30 keynote, invited and editorial speakers. An additional international dimension to the event is provided by the Scientific Committee, which consists of researchers from 46 countries, including representatives of all 27 member states of the European Union.

The conference is a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between researchers, editors of scientific journals, doctoral candidates, institutional leaders and representatives of the business community, with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and developing new research initiatives.

ICMO 2026 is organized by the Montenegrin Academy of Management, Slovenian Academy of Management, Croatian Academy of Management, Bosnian-Herzegovinian Academy of Management and the University of Montenegro, i.e. the Faculty of Economics.

The conference will also include special sessions dedicated to the development of international cooperation, research initiatives, professional development of researchers and preparations for the Academy of Management Annual Meeting 2026.
